I’ve Been Where You Are.
And I Know the Way Through.

Julie Ayala Chahal

I’ve been doing this work for over 15 years and have seen thousands of women meet and exceed their goals. I have seen firsthand in both my clients and my own life just how powerful this work can be.

I found the approach I use today after years of trial and error, mentors, and my own healing journey. I started in talk therapy in my early 20’s and while I left feeling seen, known, understood and with some excellent insight, I did not experience the deeper shifts in my overthinking, tension in my body or a deeper ability to connect in my marriage.

What I didn’t understand at the time was that real change happens when you work at the root level where patterns begin, often in the first twenty years of life. When those roots are found and processed through the subconscious mind and the nervous system, patterns in your current life can begin to shift more naturally and without a lot of effort.

And don’t worry, you don’t have to know where the patterns come from. The approach I use take us directly to the source of those patterns.

This often shows up in ways we don’t immediately connect to earlier experiences.

Many of us were praised when they excelled in school or sports, but mistakes or slightly bad behavior were met with criticism or consequences. Over time the nervous system can learn that achievement equals approval.

Later in life this can show up as perfectionism, overworking, or feeling like it is never enough. Many become very successful in their work but still feel constant internal pressure to perform or prove themselves.

Even when life looks good on the outside, their nervous system still feels like it has to keep achieving in order to stay safe or valued.

It can also show up in conflict, where conversations quickly turn into feeling unheard, misunderstood, or emotionally alone. Often what looks like a communication problem in the present is actually an earlier emotional need that was never fully met, often from homes where emotions were not openly supported or understood.

When we go back and create space for those emotions that were never fully processed earlier in life, it becomes much easier in the present to express how you feel clearly, feel understood, and experience deeper connection in your relationships.

When I first started this work, I also didn’t realize how much more there was to learn. If I’m honest, I remember leaving work drained and wondering why this work felt so hard.

Over time I realized that I needed to understand both the brain and the body at a much deeper level than graduate school prepared me for. I ended up studying for three years to become a Somatic Experience Practitioner where I studied both the nervous system and brain body connection at a much deeper level. Working with the subconscious mind and understanding the nervous system became essential to helping clients experience real change.

I also learned that my own nervous system needed to be regulated so my clients could anchor into it, and that the deeper healing I did in my own life became essential to helping my clients heal theirs.

I’ve been where you are, but I’m not there anymore. Being on the other side is possible.

It is now a privilege and honor to support clients in their growth journey. Most clients stay until they complete their work and reach their goals, and we celebrate when they leave.
